It’ll be the charter config ones right? I flew on one last year to Crete, OH-LBS, when the Flyjet 752 that was meant to be taking us never showed.
9 hrs+ to Florida might get quite uncomfortable on that plane!

A 752 would require a tech stop? I prefer these tech
stops actually, the opportunity to stretch the legs and
for the smokers – a fag! 🙂

I place Air Scandic in the “not on your life” list along with anybody operating a DC10 when choosing a flight.

I always see the Air scandic A300s and finnair B757s come past my house, The A300s are definatly noisy and old. The paintwork is terrible now as they havn’t modernised it [excuse me for bad spelling] they could atleast put a new coat of paint over them. What they need is to get rid of the A300s, let the finnair B757s go or keep them and paint them in a new colour scheme and buy some B767s or A330s. That’ll get their reputation alot better I’m sure.

Lets hope they take some seats out of it, I think Finnair are a very good airline anyway though. (At least thats what i’ve heard).

Talking of Air Scandic, someone I know has just booked on to a GLA-SFB flight, with Air Scandic! It’ll with the Finnair 752s I presume. Don’t think I fancy that too much.

Good call,

Maybe Air Scandic can pass there old buses to My Travel in return for some of there ageing 757’s. And My Travel will have a better chance of less delays?.

I think that the 321’s that sas are getting rid of would be quite good for them, and they will be able to get them for a good price. What about 767’s for the long routes?

I saw Amy Johnson’s sandwiches on the seat behind me.

And Douglas Bader’s legs in the overhead bins (ouch) 😮

I’ve no idea what the intention is with Air Scandic after the end of this season. Anyone any idea what flying they have done in previous winters, if any. I seem to recall that these A300 have been stored at Helsinki when not used.

Maybe there is a plan to re-equip (Remember the proposed DC-10 acquisition?). Suspect that we will have to wait until nearer the end of this season before confirmed details re the future are known.

Are these being replaced on just using Finnairs 757’s. Also these old A300 are worn out, flew on them 2 years ago to Palma and it was awful. The plane stunk of Jet A1 inside, the panels were falling off and I sure I saw Amy Johnson’s sandwiches on the seat behind me.
