Does anyone have any experiences on Air Scandic? My mam and dad are planning a trip to Lanzarote for the back end of May, and judging by the flight times and the timetable on NCL’s site, it’s down as Excel, but everyone’s been saying that it’s changing to SCY? It’d be much appreciated whether they be good or bad. 😉

Mons 757s are just as Jurassic.
But the difference is, MON have taken care, mostly, of their 757s. And we all now a Boeing is forever. LOL
I have personally flown on a few MON B757s and I can tell you that they are not perticulary well taken care of (from the inside anyway).
It would be good to get your facts right first for a change instead of just making things up all the time. :rolleyes:

Well, SCY are using an MD-83 here at MAN and that is in Viking c/s. 🙂

Has anyone actually seen the MD83’s at EMA yet? Are they in SCY colours or Viking?
Scandic were advertising for cabin crew for all bases, so I presume they’re still using their own cabin crew, but not flight deck.

Those ex-Air Scandic (Ex-Karair/Finnair) A300s are still (May 05) in charter passenger configuration as they’ve always been since new in 1984. NOT converted.

Flew both SCY A300s (G-SWJW NCL-TFS-NCL and G-TTMC DLM-MAN) great service onboard, great airline to fly with.
As for who does SCY’s engineering, in the UK it’s Monarch and heavy maintenance is done by Finnair.
The 757s will return this summer, they are busy with Finnair just now 😉

I had the choice of an SCY MD83 from EMA to ACE or a KM 320 from BHX for my trip coming in June. Checking out the likes of hiliday truths and other forums, I plumped for the KM flight…. !!!!
