I forgot which thread that the Air Soctland was in about the crap paint, sorry about the quality but it was far away when I took it, but the left side tail is much worse than the right π π π π π π

Presumably these botched livery resprays are covered by some kind of warranty ? The negative PR effect on the airline must be worth considering ?

And yes, the Tail is meant to be the Saltire. Not a greek flag at an angle.
I never doubted this Sandy. I was just pointing out that it worked the other way, as well, and that it was ironic in a sense.

Its a real shame because if that 757 was in tip top shape I think it would look pretty cool.

Here’s a better picture of it at NCL

It’s supposed to be a Scottish Saltire, not quite sure why they’ve upped the ante in terms of the Greece Airlines logo’s ?
Needless to say this is the latest in a long line of Air Scotland liveries over the past year since they began op’s . They’ve had three ACMI providers now and they still don’t look like steadying their ship. Fly Globespan seem to be winning the hearts and minds battle of the two new Scottish loco’s.
To be fair, Globespan had a much much larger budget and an already well founded parent company.
So they have the advantage.
Air Scotland has started from scratch.

Have they settled on a summer timetable yet? π

I don’t disagree with you Allen. However, if you tilt your head 45 degrees, it is in fact the Greek flag that is used once in a while, with just the white cross on the blue background sans the 9 horizontal stripes.
Agreed, what I mean is I don’t know why they’re enhancing the Greek aspects of the livery. Up until now it’s been a purely Scottish brand regardless of which ACMI provider they’ve used.
I wonder if the new Greece Airlines is attempting to market itself as a regular prospective airline ?

Is the tail supposed to be a Scottish flag and the Greek flag w/out the 9 stripes, depending on which angle you look at it?

So they fly from Glasgow to ATH/Greek Isles?
Glasgow, Edinburgh and Newcastle to the main European/Mediterranean holiday spots. And yes they are supposedly doing Athens too.
By: Britannia - 2nd May 2004 at 23:14
This is what it looks like with a full tail π π π π
I like the livery
By: RIPConcorde - 2nd May 2004 at 22:06
Fair anough, demand musn’t be great at GLA, I’m looking at all fares around Β£80+ from EDI, around Β£100 EACH WAY!! EDI-NCE. Some of those flights in July are already sold out.
By: GLAsgow - 2nd May 2004 at 22:02
FlyGlobespan are very cheap I looked yesterday Glasgow to Prague Β£4. Air Scotland donβt fly from Aberdeen or Glasgow Prestwick anymore they just have flights from GLA, EDI and NCL
By: LBARULES - 2nd May 2004 at 21:54
They were meant to be starting Athens I think?
But at the moment they operate the usual sun spots such as Palma,Malaga,Barcelona from GLA,EDI,NCL and I think PIK?

Air Scotland has an ACMI lease with Greece Airways.
By: Ren Frew - 2nd May 2004 at 21:48
What is the deal with this? It has a Greek registration.
Air Scotland flights are operated by a set up called Greece Airlines, a new business set up from the ashes of Electra. The planes are on the Greek register. This one is a former First Choice 757.
