Air Transat Airbus query

Hello all,

I’ve just found out that Canadian carrier Air Transat is to introduce the Airbus A310 on flights to Europe. I know the carrier has a fleet of A330’s, L-1011’s and B757’s, but I didn’t even know about the A310 order until about 24 hours ago.

Can anyone please tell me how many of these aircraft they are going to operate and where they have purchased them from, as I don’t think the A310 is built anymore, is it?

Thanks,
V1.

RE: Air Transat Airbus query

TS are getting their A310-300 a/c from Emirates and these will be used to replace some of the older Tristars in their fleet. I think they are getting most, if not all, of the EK fleet of A310s. I hope this helps.
