Air Zimbabwe goes through coperate Re-vamp

Harare-based Air Zimbabwe is going through a revamp of its current product and services, now allowing bookings to Dubai and opening a new website (http://www.airzim.co.zw) which allows real time flight information and online booking, as well as information on Africa’s tenth biggest carrier. The Airline says talks are still going ahead with Partner South African Airlines to replace the airline’s two Boeing 767-200ER planes with two A330-200 equipment and a single A340. The airline has recentley announced that sales (despite the harsh conditions in Zimbabwe) were up 5.2% in 2003, London Gatwick attracting load factors well above 90% while Johannesberg, Mauritus, Lilongwe, Lusaka, Dar Es Salam and Nairobi on the airline’s three 737s averaged at a factor of 97%. The airline has also said it is considering other destenations for 2005, including switching from London/Gatwick to London/Heathrow’s Terminal Four, Rome and Relaunching Frankfurt Services.

Air Zimbabwe could do with not just a corporate re-vamp but a livery re-vamp.
