What a suprise the weather was. We drove there in some realy foul rain and then arrived in lovely sunshine. Only gripes where the admission fees and parking. Despite that i will be going again next year.

Does anyone know the registration/serial number for the Kc135, C130, Hawk and the Helicopter?

It was the fact that i went with my partner whos in a wheelcahir and we ended up parking a fair distance away from the sea front up a hill. The pavements around there are not brilliant and it doesnt help when people insist on parking so far onto the pavement we couldnt get through.

I would think that was probably most people’s real problem. I’d forgotten it was on or I’d probably have found reason to have gone to Eastbourne as opposed to Brighton.

Nice shots Ollie 😎 went yesterday was a good show will go again next year.
Thanks to everyone for their take on the show. Some excellent shots there. To be absolutely honest with you I don’t think £5 is a bad price to pay, certainly cheaper than Margate and by the look of it a better show. All I can say is that the locals who attended and complained about the admission charge as the show was staged with tax payer’s money and didn’t think it right that they had to pay again need to realise that these events cost a large ammount of money to stage and their taxes would probably have to go up to help out.
Margate was a good airshow few years back then they cut back on the show I hope there’s more aircraft next year. A £5 is brilliant price:cool:

I have more of an issue with the parking than £5 for entry.

I’m not an expert in anything either Ollie but I am pretty certain that CH-04 is the full serial for the Belgian C130.
If I understand US serials correctly, the tail number appears to be 80086. Now if I’m right, there is a number missing from the front of that serial which I suspect will be either a 5 or 6. That number, coupled with the first digit in the tail number, gives you the fiscal year in which the aircraft was ordered/purchased.
A quick google reveals that this is in fact 58-0086 which started life as a KC-135A-BN Stratotanker but was later converted to a KC-135Q.
No magic mystery to it, it’s always worth having a look at how to do things yourself.

Aren’t the serial for the KC135 and the C130 clearly visible on the aircraft?
