Well I was discussing Air Bridge cargo with my friend the other day.
We were given the paint plan (ie a drawing on how to paint the aircraft, where things are etc) and we both agreed, the proposed paint made the 747 look slow and fat. That huge stripe from nose to tail looks just far too heavy.
We both liked the tail, and perhaps they should of had a thinner striped running down from it to the nose.
On the whole, I feel this livery looks to heavy (in appearance)

I recall seeing those Air Bridge Vickers Vanguards at Glasgow often in the 1980’s.
Incidentally, I’m only getting a little grey dot in the middle of frame when trying to view the new Air Bridge pictures.:(

What’s with the grey nose?! Or was it put on because the original one needed replacing?

as an aside it looks like the original ABC has now become….

no, they are a new airline that has been set up by Russian freight specialist Volga Dnepr.

so are they anything to do with Air Bridge Carriers, a UK cargo outfit that used to operate things like this…

Looks like it was a freighter from day 1, as there are no window/door markings on the fuselage. I’m guessing this is ex-AF. That is a nice livery.

Great, is it converted or was it always a freighter?
