Just been to the Airbus site and the top press release caught my eye as it had Airbus and Boeing in the same sentence. I thought Airbus was going to talk about the subsidy row but no, it would appear the two companies have distributed a joint training aid package to airlines.

There is hope for those two yet! 😀

I understand that the Airbus “Beluga” transport aircraft has visited Boeing on more than one occasion. I’m glad to hear of any co-operation between these two. It can only be good for the industry.

Yeah I’m sure you’re right. Haven’t they even used each other’s testing facilities from time to time? There was talk on a.net a while ago about Boeing using Airbus’ wind tunnel facilities in France but don’t know if this is true.

I expect there’s more co-operation between the two than most people think? Most of the so called antipathy between the two manufacturers is the result of hype created by enthusiasts, the media and over zealous politicians.
