AIRBUS UK PETITION

Dear All,

Save Concorde Group will be presenting a copy of the 20,000 signatory petition to Airbus (UK) at Filton, Bristol at 2.00pm on Friday 26th November 2004. This will be preceded with a toast to the landing of the final flight in 2003 at Filton , as a mark of respect to those who made the project possible, and to all those who proved that ‘together we can do extraordinary things.’

We invite all to attend this significant day, and would ask that you confirm attendance by emailing us on airbus@save-concorde.co.uk

Best regards,

Steve

Besides, I’m still busy with that picture of Peter in “Seven Year Itch”.

I trust you’ll post that here in all it’s glory. 🙂 🙂

Theres about as much chance of Concorde flying again/ me sending a red cent donation than I have of flying under Tower Bridge inverted in my yellow cabrio whilst playing the bagpipes at the same time.

HP
I imagine Robbo is rushing back to his computer to power up Photoshop as we speak–the possibilities of the above are endless.
Cheers

Your hat is safe…

Moggy, check out later postings of Flood and Andy in Beds.

Theres about as much chance of Concorde flying again/ me sending a red cent donation than I have of flying under Tower Bridge inverted in my yellow cabrio whilst playing the bagpipes at the same time.

A pity Ashtonwotsisface has run away or maybe just spotted a slight flicker on the sarcasm-ometer dial as Flood did.

Relax teach, I’m on your side.

If it does fly again I’m going to eat my favourite ‘trademark’ Ozzie Koola titfer as publicly as possible and hope that there’s sufficient Bolly left over for me to wash it down (coz it ain’t all that pretty these days and certainly won’t be by the time hell freezes over….)

Moggy Moggy, a little tolerance, patience and understanding please…

Let me understand a bit more about the fund and I’ll tell you whether I’ll take your bet or ask you to eat your favourite hat instead…

HP

No. I don’t do tolerance or patience.

Am I allowed to cook said hat first? It would be worth it to see the pointy thing fly again – but I reckon I’m on pretty safe ground so will lay in some fillet instead.

(Is the worry giving you sleepless nights? 05:45 😮 )

Mine’s the caviar and Bolly..

Inaugural flght over the Bay of Biscay? Large portion – yes!

I’m sitting next to Ashtonvillageuk congratulating him on his achievements against all adversary and grateful to him for pointing my donation in the right direction.

I’m just waiting for him to PM me with all the details. Better still, maybe he will post here and let others know where to send their donations. These causes consume cash.

Any comparison with previous Vulcan scams is surely not the case here. OK OK, prison food has improved but there are some nasty old lags eating it alongside the new boys on the block, keen to make friends….

A cynic as well as an English teacher – Moggy Moggy, a little tolerance, patience and understanding please…

Well Ashtonvillageuk deserves a bit of support, you load of Doubting Thomas’s.

Without people like him rushing around and getting signatures, it definately won’t happen.

And with people like him rushing around and getting signatures?

Are you a betting man HP? I’ve got a thousand quid that says we won’t have Concorde as an air display item by the end of 2007.

don’t worry mate, you just make the cheque out to me.
I’ll ensure it goes to a worthy cause.
(Actually cash is even better–would you mind?)

Then in years to come as that big white bird flies overhead you’ll be able to say that ‘you gave’.

Yes, but when the great man himself appeared to defend his memories – complete with threats that we ourselves should dig deeper and prove him right (or something) – then it got heated. In the end the thread was pulled – he wouldn’t answer any questions except to say that we should be demanding answers of the MOD/AHB, not him. Presumably because they were the ones lying…

Bloody hell 2 scams that takes the biscuit 🙁

That is why some of the greyer heads amongst the Forum are so anti these pie-in-the-sky schemes to get impossible aircraft back in the skies.

Not because we all wouldn’t love to seem them there

Not because we want to take other’s dreams away

But because in the past naive, well-meaning people have lost their money to conmen and hopeless cases.
