While I was at Duxford on Wednesday an aircraft appeared outside ARCO’s hanger for an engine run – I couldn’t identify it. It looked maybe a little bigger than a Harvard but with a smaller engine. Its been bugging me as to what it is – it ain’t a jet you see. The only possible I can see by looking through Wrecks and Relics is a Yale – isn’t that a Harvard though? One very embarresed face wonders if you have the answers 😮

It’s also listed on our website warbird directory under trainers! 😉

With that pic of merlin70 and a bit of browsing at the G-info site, you can find all the things you want to know about it. 😉

Yep that’s an NA-64 Yale G-BYNF, owned by Rob van Dijk.

Yep – a rare beastie – looks like a harvard, smells like a harvard – isnt a harvard – and harvard bits dont fit it!

Yeah I’m sure thats it, could only see if front on. It looked like a Harvard but the front of the fuselage looks to small for the rest, it kinda has to expand when it gets to the wing section.

Did it look something like this?
