Aircraft Compass?

Can anyone identify the compass as attached. I was asked by Airman Mick Whelan, Irish Air Corps museum and Heritage Centre. Aircraft compass??

Yes, it’s a Huson Mk. IIIA compass, probably intended for the civilan market. Prewar or possibly just postwar.
