I’m curious, when I was an active member of the MVT we had a guy do a talk about crash sites around our area. I believe he said that there were 26 crash sites within a 3 mile radius of Wootton Bassett. Now I know that we had a lot of air fields around (Lyneham, Cliff Pypard, Cricklade and Wroughton to name 4). But I find it hard to believe there were that many.
