While having a look around my favourite auction site, I came across this auction that may be of interest for people seeking cut away views of various aircraft from the 30’s.

This auction is for 40 original UK aircraft data sheets dating from about 1938.
The data sheets carry numbers 1 through 39 and number 50.
Each data sheet contains a picture or line drawing, sometimes ‘cutaway’, of the subject aircraft along with technical details including dimensions, weight, payload, engine power etcetera, and a brief description of the aircraft, its role and purpose.
Aircraft include; Fairy Hendon, battle and Swordfish, Vickers Venom, Wellington and Wellesley, Supermarine Spitfire, Handley Page Hampden and Harrow and Airspeed Envoy and Envoy SIII among many others.
The auction photo shows that Short as well as Armstrong Whitworth aircraft are in the collection.
Before you get too excited the auction is only open to those of us living down under in the Antipodes.
Does anyone know the orgin of these drawings?

They are part of ‘Aero Engineering’ published by George Newnes. The data sheets came in bound pockets to go with the rest of the volumes.
This is my set.
