Aircraft dataplate modplate…

ive seen other members with these items, I was gifted this by a fellow metal detectorist that he recovered from findhorn RAF aircraft dump where the avro ansons and halifax bombers I think were scrapped. Can anyone ID this 100% its difficult to make out the stamps etc but im spraying it with WD40.

Any help would be appreciated

I think it reads:

“CRZ” upsidedown, circular stamp top middle with a V at the top half of it and “181” bottom half of in the circle, a smaller circular stamp with lettering or numbering,

below that ” SERIAL No G 902(?)5″
“MOD NUMBERS”
“0PFP T 764
ISS C E 729
PRESS
INTER + small circular stamp
JIG?

Brataccas – your best bet is to give the letters a light going over with a mild abrasive. Scotchbrite, wet and dry or wire wool as a last resort. That will bring the letters out clearly.
