Aircraft Id please

After another day having a walk around the former Raf Binbrook i came across this section of wing.
I found a number on one part laying next to it and it starts with aw .
I possibly think its from a meteor with the fact the aw could be armstrong whitworth plus is there anychance i could tell which mark if a/c it came from.
I dont know of any meteors crashing there apart from a nf14 which was placed on the fire dump which this just might be small remains of that a/c ?

Hope someone might be able to help me in my quest to id the aircraft and possibly seriel number.
Thankyou again in advance
