Climbing out of Gatwick today I noticed many parked aircraft in Charlwood but not at the Gatwick aviation museum, I’ve located them on google earth at
51° 9’16.98″N
0°14’2.68″W
Can anyone shed some light on these planes?

No, no, and yes.

I find it incredible though that the Gatwick museum has had so much hassle with planing etc, yet houses can conveniently be put up on a nearby site.

The “Faygate” yard
I believe that planning permission for about 12 houses has finally been approved for the whole site. .
So when do the (new) residents start complaining about the sounds (noise) of the adjacent airport with the aim of getting it closed down??

The “Faygate” yard (once used by Aerospace Logistics) has long gone, it has a new house on the site.
Aerospace Logistics have a newish facility on the nearby Crawley industrial estate. The Charlwood site is likely to be cleared soon, I believe that planning permission for about 12 houses has finally been approved for the whole site.
Jaguar XX121 is supposed to be heading for GAM “any day now”.

A little Googling reveals this to be the location of Aerospace Logistics Ltd, with a website here: http://www.aerospace-logistics.co.uk/Default.asp.
