Just though I would take a few piccies of the ‘hidden’ aircraft now they are out of the ‘Big Tin Shed’ and in the fresh air. A lot of them are covered in dust and as it is now raining, I should imagine there will be covered in dirty streaks by tomorrow. Hope they get a wash and brush up before they go back in.
My first job as a civil servant was on the Bomber Washing Flight at Scampton. Washing Vulcans in the winter. Magic.

This is going to sound so stupid but I was at Duxford about 6 months ago and didn’t see the Sunderland, either it has been moved or was very good at playing hide and seek.
Can anyone tell me what has happened to her?.
Humble John!.
The photo was taken yesterday.
Anyone know how long the aircraft will be outside for as I need a few pix before they are interned in Airspace for the duration.
Cliff see THIS from UKAR

Thanks blurrkup, I was beginning to wonder where it was and when I found her I would ask for my marbles back!!!!.
Still due to work constraints I think I will stave off Duxford until the new hanger is opened, Just Hope that it does not turn out like the American Airspace hanger.
Regards
John.

The sunderland is currently hiding in the other side of Hangar 2, the side you can’t get into at the moment.

The only other Mig 21 I can recall at Duxford was the one owned by OFMC that arrived November 1995 and departed to Midland Air Museum during 2001, pictures taken 3rd June 2001…….

When was that? I think it has allways been this way.
I may be thinking of a different Mig 21. Im sure ive got a photo of it somewhere either silver or Camoflaged.
Edit, it was camoflaged. Photo is atached, its a crap photo.

Question about the Duxford Vulcan, Has anyone seen inside of it and do they open her up regularly?
I’ve been inside on a Friends of Duxford event and it’s in very good condition.

They look really nice, i think the only 2 sad one’s left are the victor and the shack, i miss duxford have not been in 6 months, other things seem to take my Sunday’s away, the super hangar is coming along nicely though i see.
