And now for something completely different.
Instead of updating my older thread about the halifax panel, I thought I would Post some new photo’s of my Halifax panel on an entirely new thread and invite everyone that has rebuilt a Instrument panel from a ww2 or modern aircraft to go ahead and post pics of their projects on here as well. 🙂

Spit Mk II cockpitsection and Stirlingproject
Thanks Rocketeer/ Tony for your help with the Spit column part. Can go on with the cockpitsection now.
Also thank you for sending me the files for the Stirling panel decals Hindenburg/Martin. This project is going on fine. The decals are ordered and will be fixed to the panel soon.

No problem Stirling01,it`s always nice to help along another project.
By: stirling01 - 31st March 2025 at 13:08
Not another. It is the one in post nr. 464 in this thread. As you can see on that picture the control column still has to be fixed, which is quite a job.
Cheers,
Rijnko

Very nice work Andrew!
I’m glad the panel found a good home.

Here are two CT-133 panels that I have been working on for the last year or so…both appear to be from Canadian built T-birds. Both still retain their original paint and stenciling. I have been tempted to repaint some of the area that has some minor paint damage but it is only original once so I think it will stay that way for now. I am still on the lookout for some replacement instruments to replace those that are no true to the Canadian built version but they seem hard to find.
The panels are not 100% accurate but they are a work in process…
Many thanks to Peter, Mike and Darrell for providing the idea and inspiration and panels..:)
CT-133 s/n 21167
CT-133 s/n 21482 (I think)
I do like that Voodoo Panel Peter….nice job.

I’m so envious of you guys, panels are near impossible to come across in the land down under! One day maybe!

I spent part of my day contorted like a pretzel while grinding/cutting/shaping/enlarging 3 holes in a DC2 instrument panel so we can fit new fuel guages…oh fun…
No pics.. yet..

Drop me a PM Davesoda with your e-mail address and if you want I’ll put you in touch with a chap in the US who is selling empty UASF panels (1940-1960’s era), can’t say they are cheap though.

Yes a cockpit tub would be a sweat deal….

Well the Canadian winter is almost over, been rather nice to wade through three feet of snow to the workshop….and here are the latest bits…..glad the seat is finally assembled it just needs painting the upholstery is being made by a friend, the wonderful lads in Toronto [FM104] made an excellent job on riveting the seat pan together ….Ill post pics of that later, there’s a couple of sets of extra parts for the seat pan assembly here ….. a few evenings have been spent with large sheets of paper and the making of formers should start soon…thought i would start at the front and work backwards
