Aircraft Instruments Identification

Please can some body help me identify two aircraft instruments given to me. One instrument is a cockpit heater control and the other is a throttle leaver. I would like to know what aircraft type they came from.

Doh!

I think i got my wires crossed:o

On second thoughts probably not Stirling……sorry

I think the Stirling used the Pioneer Gyro Fluxgate system not the Admiralty type III which used the 6B/1863

Here’s a photo of my Vulcan B.2 (unrestored) 1st pilot panel which shows the Mk29B below the ASI and above the ‘crew gone’ lamps….. and you can just see the ‘fail flag’ of the Mk30 to the right of the No4 engine RPM gauge.

Those 29s and 30s all look the same to me but have subtle operating differences, the 29B is fitted in the front British Phantom panel.
It might also be the same that is fitted in updated panels of Vulcans and later Canberras.
Also similar to Harrier and Jaguar, but others here can be more definite on sub types and fitted to what.

Edit, blast beaten by XF940!:D

Can anybody tell me in which plane(s) the Kollsman Altimeter, served controller Mk 29 B, nato code 6610-99-620-1976, date sept.1974, was used. I was told it came from an Avro Vulcan, but I think it has to be from a later plane.

Mk29B is used in the Vulcan B.2 as 1st Pilots Alt. It’s servo controlled but has a fall-back conventional pressure setting using the P/S switch or if the supply fails. The co-pilot’s Mk30 alt has no fall-back. The later Alt’s were fitted at one of the last instrument refits.

I believe the 29B was also used in the Canberra.

Long one looks very similar to the Fuel c0ck lever on the Sea Prince/Pembroke.

I’ll have a look at the weekend if you don’t get a definite reply in the meantime.

Can’t help too much but they are both Teleflex controls, which makes them British and probably 1940-1960s roughly.

I doubt the lever is a throttle lever. I had a few of these at one time but for the life of me cannot recall what they were. It’s the sort of thing that might be used for jettisoning a drop tank, but don’t quote me. Did someone tell me they were used in some Marks of the Canberra?
