Are there any plans available to view that show how the development will eventually look?

The museum deserves to be plugged like mad, I went as part of a group of adults and kids back in early April and everyone enjoyed it despite the weather (it poured most of the time) and the fact that most weren’t plane-minded. The Vulcan cockpit tour was a highlight for everyone and only cost a couple of quid, and a friendly volunteer opened up the Jag cokpit section in the temporary hangar for everyone to sit in. The Nimrod is also available for tours, although we unfortunately didn’t have time. We weren’t a pre-booked group, we just turned up on an average day.

All in all, lots to see both indoors and out, and the staff were very friendly and accomodating…oh and the cafe is warm, dry and well stocked!

As this is my local aviation museum, I had worries about the future when the NDR route was announced.

I am pleased to say, having recently visited the museum and seen the new layout together with speaking to one of the volunteers, that the future is very rosy indeed and I look forward to seeing it develop over the coming years.

Well done to ALL involved!!
