What does it mean when it says an aircraft was sold VA?

It was a Spitfire yes. Thank you for confirming that. Is there any way of tracing which airforce the airframe went to? The airframe i found the note on was XIVe RM620.

RM620 is not recorded ‘on charge’ on any of the post WWII Mk XIV Spitfire operators.

It may well just have been purchased for spares reclamation and support for the Belgian or Thai air forces.

If it was a Spitfire, this would indicate sold to Vickers Armstrong to fulfil an arms supply contract to a foreign Air Force post WWII.
