The Concorde, BAC 1-11 and the VC-10 fuselage were shuffled around on 12 August. This is in preparation for major changes due to the renovation and relocation of the main hangar.

Over the coming months the ‘Flight Shed’ should be ready to accept some of the airframes from the hangar and the Vimy & Wellington will find new homes in separate structures on site. Once the hangar is cleared it will be disassembled and taken off site for renovation before returning for reassembly beside the London Bus Museum. It will then become the ‘Aircraft Factory’. The Flight Shed will enable some aircraft to be brought out onto the Finishing Straight for engine runs – Bleriot, Demoiselle and, hopefully the Hurricane.
Great positive changes ahead at Brooklands!
