Well, it’s hot hot hot! up here at Edinburgh and clear blue skies.
Just been chillin’ in the garden and noticed a couple of things flying over. With the help of flight arrivals I’ve managed to work out that one, which I knew was on approach to EDI, a BA A32X(320 I think) was this flight:
16.15 BA1448 HEATHROW LANDED 1639
the other was trailing high-up, with the help of binoculars, it could tell it was a BA 752, heading south. I presumed it just had to be ABZ-LHR, there isn’t really any other feasible possiblities, looks like I was right after checking LHR arrivals:
17.45 BA1313 ABERDEEN EXPECTED 1738
What’s the weather like else where in the UK?
Anybody else just chillin’ watching the planes from the comfort of their own back garden? 🙂

What airshow did you go to Moondance?
Rolls Royce Centenary thingy at Donnington Park, couldn’t be arsed to fight the crowds and pay the fee for what looked a pretty mediorce show – but sitting across the Trent seeing it for free was fine! (and quite interesting to be sitting INSIDE the Red Arrows display)

Saw lots of trailing aircraft, including an LH A346 today, and a couple of Biz Jets up at Farnborough.
There was also an emergency, a Cherokee going to Bembridge had to land at Farnborough with a suspected fuel leak!! 2 minutes later another problem ocurred, a Jodel had high levels of Carbon Monoxide, but did not need to land in the end

Just seen the CY330 arrival, looks great! 😀 We now have TCX, BY, EXS and FJE arrivals to look forward to within the next hour.
By: RIPConcorde - 13th June 2004 at 13:07
RIPConcorde, there are about 3 or 4 Flyglobespan arrivals today. Looks like they’ve got a fairly solid charter timetable set up here now, with arrivals from Nice, Figari and Calvi.
And all EXS flight codes. They are utilising their 733s very highly just now then.

That glider looks like a Vigilant of the ATC? Any ideas? I’m probably wrong, haven’t had chance to fly in one yet.
No ideas, other than it had military reg and was buzzing in and out of RAF Kinloss all afternoon, there was another one and a Cessna doing the same.

I was sitting in a rowing boat on the Moray Firth watching Nimrods come and go from RAF Kinloss, shame I didn’t have my stills camera with me. By the time I got ashore and got it, all there was to snap was a pair of powered gliders doing circuits around the base….

Lovely skies here this morning, lots around! Saw the China Airlines Cargo 747-400 arrival into STN a short while ago. Not much else of interesting into STN at the moment, a string of Ryanair’s and Easyjet’s then a Euromanx. Lots of Lisbon departures though, might try and head down this evening to see if there’s much of interest. Had an Aeroflight earlier, shame was too early for me to go and catch it. I’m also getting ready looking out my window to see the scheduled Cyprus A330 from Larnaca and the Flyjet from Nice.
Flying overhead this morning I have seen a Monarch A321 new cs from LTN, a couple of BA 747’s from LHR and several SAS’s. In the stack for LHR a number of short haulers and North American arrivals, get more of the Long Haul stuff towards the afternoon/evening.

All i saw last night was a decending flybe 146 going from DUB-BHX. This morning tho, the trans-atlantics have been out in force!

A lovely day in the North East today, and I saw absolutely nowt flying overhead, except a police helicopter at around 1200.
I called in Teesside airport for around an hour and saw Spanair MD8* EC-GXU and Iberworld 320 EC-ICK. So a highly eventful afternoon for me then, unlike last Saturday when I was at MAN, a great day that.
I got a pic from Teesside of the Spanair, but due to the mesh fencing etc its not that good, but I’ll post it anyway, cos its a nice plane.
Again my apologies for the smallness of it. I’m not yet sure how to use the resizing/editing program properly.
