This structure is on display in the remains of a Hamilcar glider at the Tank Museum, Bovington.
Whatever it is I know its not Hamilcar. I did wonder if it was the fairing in front of the turret on an Albermarle.
Any ideas?

Why are you so sure it is not Hamilcar
I’ve spent months looking through the Hamilcar AP whilst identifying the mix of Hamilcar and Horsa parts recovered from Tarrant Rushton and now in the hands of the Museum of Army Flying, this isn’t Hamilcar.

Why are you so sure it is not Hamilcar (apart from the size)? Is there something else such as material or method of construction?
