This is my first time of posting and I’m asking for help identifying some aircraft parts discovered by schoolchildren in Suffolk. My daughter is a teacher at a primary school in Suffolk. The children at the school have discovered some pieces of metal in the school grounds and were wondering if they could be the remains of a Halifax bomber which reportedly broke up in mid air at that location. I have photos of the parts and I can be contacted at timmoy1@gmail.com

Welcome and as the others have said photographs will definely help. Of note is that Halifax parts were stamped with a number and the first two digits will be 57 so if there are any numbers on the parts that you have found that would suggest the Handley Page Halifax.

Many forum users will be reluctant to use links etc so I agree with the above comments – much easier to post photos.
Most users will post via photobucket or similar (easiest way) although you can post directly onto the forum.

Hi
Welcome to the forum! You are certainly in the right place. Though I am sure you will get a response, you will engage a broader spread of expertise if you could post the photos on here.
Thanks,
Matt
I agree with Matt – can I say that it is easier to identify parts if you show a few pictures taken from different angles – and serial numbers will certainly help so if there are any numbers or letters on your items do spell them out in the text if they are not clear on the photos.
Good Luck
James
