Whilst clearing out her late husband’s garage & workshop recently, a friend found a drawer full of what she believes to be aircraft parts.
She has passed these on to me; I am hoping someone on here can help me to identify them!
Several boxes have stamps dated 1944 or 1945.
All the parts appear to be in excellent condition, and are well-greased inside their protective paper.
Below are the part numbers as they appear on the boxes.
27M 2446
Gland Cup AIR????? Qty. 6
37G/ 45
HEAD CYLINDER
Pt. No. CX/93212 Qty. 3
37G/ 48
Head Cylinder and Valves Group
Pt. No. CX.56274 Qty. 2
27M/ 5652
PIN
Pt. No. AIR28138 Qty. 1
There are also numerous switches, relays, microswitches, etc.
If required, I shall post pictures as soon as I get my camera back!
Over to you…!
TIA,
Don

Hello Don
The CX prefix refers to BTH.
The cylinder head and valves are for a BTH engine driven air compressor.

Elliott,
Thanks for that – You have a PM, sir! 😀

Hi Don
The parts with the AIR prefix were manufactured by Automotive Products. They are likely to be licence built Lockheed hydraulic components and the numbers you supply certainly seem wartime.
I could probably use some of the gland cups you mention for the Whitley if you have any spare!
All the best
Elliott
