The Stuka is in the Battle of Britain Hall at the RAF Museum Hendon. The IWM do not have a complete Stuka.

Awesome of rare Stuka…. Pardon my asking, is this in Imperial War Museum. I know of only 2 whole ones. Chicago air museum and IWM…
Love the Stuka big time… Amazing so few remain intact…
I have seen pictures, probably a yr or 2 ago some where of a 2/3 flying replica someone was making. Had to do a double take to note the size diff.

COCKPITS
Hope the guy complaining about Hendon doesn’t get off on the dust again … this is the Bf 109G on display at NASM Downtown. Looks a bit dusty in there but then again, this airplane has been sitting in the same spot for at least the last 25-odd years that I know of.

Would be good to see more photos published on this site that include interior and cockpit shots!
Happy to oblige. I hope these meet with approval. 🙂

I hpe you don’t mind, AVI, but I’ve “lifted” your picture as much as I dare in Photoshop to make the details clearer.
Aha, the master at work again! 😉

The ever deepening layer of dust on the Hendon exhibits is quite depressing really. I was able to visit the National Museum of Naval Aviation at Pensacola recently and there was a complete contrast in the cleanliness of the aircraft. There was even a member of staff armed with a extra long ‘swiffer’ dusting down the exhibits while I was there.
Come on Hendon, buy some dusters for goodness sake!!!

PAPA LIMA – IMPRESSIVE! I don’t mind at all. It’s a great kick in the butt to tell me to get started on Photohop. Thanks!

Here’s one of the Lancaster in Toronto.

Hey, PL, thanks. It’s a great help!
Here’s one of the F4U that’s hanging in front of the entryway at Dulles, at NASM Hazy.

Bf109 tail detail
This is the best I can do, I’m afraid, AVI, I didn’t take a close-up!
By: AVI - 19th February 2005 at 16:25
Great Oskkosh photo! Would you have a close-up of the Buchon/Bf109 fin and rudder, one which shows the detail of the fabric construction, stitching, etc.?
I’ve got photos of the NASM Bf 109 and the NASM Fw 190 but at the time did not think of taking close-up shots of the rudder detail. And by the way, the Lancaster photo reminds me of the countless times I’ve driven by the lakefront park in Toronto where a Lancaster was displayed on a plinth. I’m glad to hear that it’s been removed for restoration.

Do these count as bits and bobs? Airborne over Hamilton, August 16, 2004 and I have the certificate to prove it!
