Aircraft Rec + Detailed drawings

Hi
Im trying to put some slides together for my Air rec group. So does anyone have any good silhouettes or pictures that i can black out.

Especially different marks of spitfire.

Also does anyone have pointers as its such a wide and varied subject its hard to cover everything for competitions.

Also i noticed in the book bomber boys (which is a great read) they have technical drawings of WWZ bombers like the ones in aeroplane. Does anyone have a copy of these A4 or bigger they could send or email etc?

As they are good to have for reference

Cheers
Matt

If you want 3-views etc try: www.the-blueprints.com

This russian site has a large number of pictures of different aircraft, mostly WW2: airwar.ru/aww2e.html

I cant remember the name of the www (maybe someone else will know of it) but a couple of years ago I was designing R/C aircraft and came across a cracking Russain site that had tonnes of scale drawings (many with cross sections) of all types of aircraft from around the world. All were free to download as well.

My fave set was of the AN-124. Never thought I’d find a set of drawings for that beast to such high quality.

Obtain a copy of the Observers Book of Aircraft or the old Ian Allen books and make slides of the silhouettes or as was suggested a from a facsimile copy of the Penguin book for wartime stuff. There are loads around. The modern method would be to scan them into a laptop and use an electronic projector such as a Proxima or Acer, which is what I now use for talks etc.

Isnt there a book by penguin (reprinted from back then?) you can buy on this topic? Got a recollection of thumbing through a copy when I was last at Cosford….
