Not to sure where to post, please feel free to move,
Is there any software available to purchase to allow logging cilil aircraft registrations?
Had a look on the internet but nothing seems to be around, any help would be appreciated.

I myself did stop taking registrations down a while back, hence I have hundreds of books with allsorts of data capture in them, so as we now live in an electronic society I have decided to try and capture these in a more modern way with views to exporting to a database, each to there own.

No, I wasn’t having a dig, what other data do you store?

I stopped spotting in 1974, but I imagine the principles are the same…..so tell me please why you need a database when the data you add to an already available register is “Date” and “Place seen”?
I’m not taking the mickey, but has spotting taken on a multitude of other information?

Aerodata is pretty good with 1.4 million airframes included. It also has SBS integration with hopefully Airnav radar box to follow. It also allows photo logging and the reporting function is very good. It also has a maps facility which shows airfields in a region and what is meant to be there. Good for museum listings as well – saves trying to write stuff down when a printed list is much easier

If you visit:
http://www.lhr-lgw.co.uk/
The Heathrow Movements site… in the dropdown go to “Software for the spotter” quite a few links in there.
One that i had for a while when i number crunched was NMU (No More Underlining) i never got round to using it,but, i believe it is one of the better software.. they are at:

At first I used MS Excel, but I find MS Access to be easier to work with. In particular its cross-referencing abilities are easier to use then they are in Excel.
