I wondered whether anyone would be able to identify an aircraft trim unit that I have. Picture attached – hopefully!!
Judging by the size it appears to be from a small British single or perhaps twin seat aircraft. The larger trim wheel (dia 6″) is made by “Aeroplastic” and the smaller has “AS 152” embossed on it. The grease nipples are of the AM/RAF type. On the gear wheels is stamped “Renold”.
The casting is of an aluminium/magnesium material and painted black. There are numerous stamping and embossings over the piece most of which are prefixed by “AJC” and, which I presume to be the manufacturer, followed by a number such as “336”, “342” and “106”.
Looking closely I can also see the following stamps on the casting “A299”, “L9C” and “SM”.
Inspector stamps with “PAC” and a two digit number in a circle are also present
Altogether it is a nice unit but I have no idea from what – any thoughts?
Regards
Michael

Percival it is then, but……….
Thanks Tony
So that narrows it down a bit, a Percival product.
I have found a picture of a Pembroke cockpit from www.flight-manuals-on-cd.com (great site BTW) and although the picture is fairly small, I don’t think it the same one.
Any other suggestions anyone?
Many thanks
Michael

Looks like Percival product to me (PAC tends to give away)….Pembroke I’d suggest
