Airdrops

Yesterday I saw a video showing a bunch of airdrops going awray, I’m just wondering how effective airdrops are at safely getting things like Humvee’s and trucks onto the ground safely, are vehicles damaged badly often? Are airdrops worth the risk?

I’d post the link but I can’t remember where it was, there was a classic clip of a low altittude C130 drop where the truck breaks out of it’s crate and rolls flat out for several hundred meters.
