Flying In?
Notes for aircraft joining us
We welcome all those coming to Airfest 2008 here are some notes for you to use:
1) Arrive between 7am and 9am, you and your passengers get breakfast on us
2) You and your passengers get admission to the complete event, no cost
3) If you are staying only part of the day let us know when you arrive so your aircraft can be positioned appropriately.
4) If we run out of display area there are the normal parking areas on airport and you are still welcome.
No Transponder
If your aircraft has no transponder call the tower prior to your arrival.
Follow your CFS.
We have been assured of maximum possible accommodation and co operation
Ultralight and other types not normally using ECCA
Call the tower prior to your departure, again we are assured of maximum co operation and accommodation. Follow your CFS.
Airfest is all about promoting aviation and our aviation heritage, plus lets have a great time.
This is our big annual event and we look forward to around 60+ aircraft joining us including some current military types.

Well June 22 was Airfest 2008
In spite of pouring rain all day it was a great event attended by approx 7000 people.
the 737 Combi Concert went well featuring 3 artists and the world record is applied for.
Hosted by the Alberta Aviation Museum and Edmonton Aviation Heritage Society it is Edmontons only Aviation event each year.
Now on to Airfest 2009 celebrating Canada’s 100th anniversary of flight.
