I have just had a good sort out and now have alot of photographs uploaded to my site.
http://www.airfields.fotopic.net/
The site is basically full of photographs of airfields past and present and what can be seen still, a handful of aerial shots and several aviation memorials.
I am just finishing off the last few bits on it, mainly the text and links. If anyone can think of any relevant links then let me know.
The site will continue to be added to an a regular basis and if anyone has any suggestions of places to go, or if I have missed something then please also contact me.
Comments welcome.
Richard
Moderators, if this is in the wrong place then please let me know.

Personally I think your site is excellent, I’ve lived in Lincoln my whole life and never knew there was anything left of Skellinthorpe, I love what they’ve done with the timeline, so thank you for that 🙂

I have fianlly got around to getting all the text sorted on each gallery page, please let me know what you think my website, http://www.airfields.fotopic.net/
There have also been a few more additions to some of the galleries and some new airfields have been covered by me as well.
If there are any mistakes they are my fault! If anyone can suggest any other links relevant to a particular gallery / airfield then please let me know.
I hope you all enjoy looking at my site.

Station 166 Matching
Matching can be found if you take the A1060 from Bishop’s Stortford to Chelmsford rd. You come into a village called White Roding. Almost opposite The White Horse pub is a turning to Matching Green, take this turning drive approx 1/4 mile the road splits, take the right fork, and that will take you right through the old airfield site from one side to the other. The old tower is still there although its used by Raytheon Defence Systems, this a public road so you can stop wherever you want. A few old buildings remain used as industry now, and the old water tower is still there as well.

Thanks for posting the photos, where abouts is the memorial at Matching? It is one airfield I am yet to go out to, is there much there apart from the memorial?

Thanks for the replies folks.
Roger, I’d be interested in seeing a photo of the memorial you mentioned, will you post it up here? otherwise drop me a PM.
Chris, see you tomorrow at East Kirkby!
flyernzl, At the moment my site is only really for UK memorials, though in the future I may look at doing something for overseas airfields and memorials. Depends on my travels really!!

Hi Richard,
Brand new memorial erected largely by the efforts of Buckminster Gliding Club at Saltby. It’s on the peri-track near to the club’s premises. Went up on September 17th this year (think they said the 17th but defo September). It’s a nice effort.
