FOr english u have to read loads of books and do reports etc for GCSE. My first book is a bit old. Its called Airframe from the guy who worte Jarassic Park and the Lost World (the sequel)
Its about a fictional aircraft maker called Norton Aircraft. A asian charter on the way to LAX from China when it noses up and noses down and kills 3 people and ripps the seats off the floor and everything in interior is messed up and broken.
It thens follows a woman called Cary who is incharge of investigation to what happened. It takes u around wht all the team at norton do and tells u a very large bit about the aircraft works as she has a newbie guy with her and he has to have everything explained so nothing in the book is too hard to understand!
I aint got through it all but it is really really interesting. Althrough Norton is fiction it is described in detail and includes alot of info about their different planes like the N22 (the plane that has the bad accident!)
A definete read for people of the forum!

RE: Airframe
I remember my aerospace in structural dynamics liked it, but he caution that Criton is not a real aero engineer afterall, so there are some errors. Mentioned something like titanium in turbine blades…there are no titanium in turbine blads, and other details.
