Condor > Thomas Cook > Condor (and yet we get left with TC!)
Crossair > SWISS (well prety much LOL, with a splattering of Swissair!)
Suckling Airways > Scot Airways
Canadian pacific > CP Air > Canadian/Canadien (depending which side of the a/c you looked at!)
In all honesty it depends how far back in time you want to go, you could do thousands really.

And Thai International which became “Thai”[/QUOTE]
Well Thai International was started by Thai Airways to operate the long haul services for the country, but in the end the subsiduary grew and then took over the parent company, all whilst state-owned..confused yet?

Yes that’s what i was trying to say. Mabye i didn’t word it very well. I thought LGKR was saying that AirUK Leisure/Leisure International changed its name to Air 2000. I was saying that they can’t have as both carriers were operating at the same time but with no links. See what i mean ? Think am am confused now

I think Softlad may be confused – Air2000 was not the new name for Air Uk Leisure – rather Air2000(later First Choice) brought Air UK Leisure and closed it down.
Thats what I think happened.

Im sure that Air 2000 was operating at the same time as Air UK Leisure. They may have merged later down the line though ?

I am right in thinking they never marketed passenger services under the Channel Express brand?
