I’ve been out of the loop for the last few days, so this is a bit late coming. Let’s try our best shots of Air France this week, 3 photos each

Not the most exciting colors, no amount of red stripe will fix it.

747 from Orly roof (1975), 727 Air Charter International was Air France’s Charter offshoot (1975), F-28 of TAT (Touraine Air Transport) an Air France ‘partner’ (LHR 28R ca, 1977)
Hmm… I’m really not impressed you posted photos with the A.Net banner. That’s meant I’ve had to go to A.Net and find your images, which probably means a large chunk of my early afternoon will be gone!
Only joking, I am impressed really. The quality of many of these images is absolutely stunning for 1968/1970! 🙂

All mine are from MAN

Definitely!
In that case, I’ll start with this! Taken from AF’s 77W F-GSQF as we’re around an hour from landing at Tokyo Narita. There’s some pretty spectacular mountain scenery in Japan!

And a couple from LHR and MAN:

Longshot… Your images are not old junk! They’re fascinating pieces of history and are very much appreciated by people like me who missed experiencing those days for ourselves. I absolutely love seeing old scans like the ones you posted, so it would be great to see more if you have any!

Re old shots
Thanks to abutcher1985 for tolerating my old junk…at least with the thumbnail attachments you can skip them if you’re not interested!…I must say I’m jealous of the fantastic quality even moderately priced cameras give nowadays…. the downside is the lack of access at modern airports…so blue sky shots (e.g. Myrtle Avenue !) dominate.
The Caravelle shot was Myrtle Avenue, the 707 roof deck Orly, the Transall Paris Air Show 1975, they flew the internal French Night Mail service, the Concorde Paris Air Show 1975, it was a production standard airframe that never went into service I believe

Are cabin/wing views OK to post, Andrew?

the sun was being a bu*ger on the day
It was being a burger? That’s my kind of sun! 😀
Some superb images so far, all. Longshot, I particularly like the old ones! I’ll post some tomorrow. I’ve spent probably the best part of 5 hours messing in PS today so my eyes need a rest!

P.S. Are cabin/wing views OK to post, Andrew?

La Caravelle 🙂

A couple of different ones from me – a few older pics of types that have not yet been covered as opposed to the LHR(ish) type ones 🙂
I apologise for the quality on the first 2… the sun was being a bu*ger on the day I was in Paris and it was not ideal for shooting.
The other is in Zurich.

So is this the same as the BA Airbus 318 flights out of LCY then?
By: black kettle - 6th February 2010 at 22:47
Here’s a “DEDICATE” division 319….premium class forty odd seats and flies transatlantic.

Love the dirty Avro 146 on rotation, nice one, any of a Air France A318 anyone?
