Playing on the back of the Globespan thread, I suggest we pick one airline each week for photographers to showcase their pictures of…
Every Wednesday we’ll pick a different airline, and photographers will be invited to upload their single best shot of that airline, to create a shared gallery.
To start us off, I’ve picked PIA and my effort is below. For next week, why not PM me your ideas? We need to think of airlines that many of us are likely to have seen…

Good idea, why not some photos from Karachi Pakistan which is home to PIA. All these are pictured on final approach to Karachi International within last few weeks. I believe you don’t get to see most of them in Europe.
Note the different colorful tails that represent cultural diversity. Tail motif represent four provinces and Northern Areas. Aircraft dedicated to a certain province is further dedicated to a city in that province.
City (Province)
1 Quetta (Baluchistan)
2 Peshawar (NWFP)
3 Ziarat (Baluchistan)
4 Mohonjodaro (Sindh)
5 Hassanabal (Punjab)
6 Turbat (Baluchistan)
7 Hyderababd (Sindh)
8 Gilgit (Northern Areas)
9 Peshawar (NWFP)
10 Taxila (Punjab)

Wow, I forgot about the that method… !
Has a 747 transported a dead engine ‘underwing’ recently, or do they all end up within large Antonov products nowadays ?
Qantas did just a few days ago infact!!

PIA in the 70s
Couple of ancient shots from LHR in the 70s….5-engined 747s weren’t rare but always welcome!
Re BA World Colours Tails, those who don’t approve should have a hankerchief ready 🙂

We’re getting a nice response to this 🙂
Since people seem to want to post more than one shot, here’s a few more of mine…
This is AP-BHX, passing through Manchester on its delivery flight
Still eager to get ideas for next week’s airline…
