Airline of the Week: PIA Pakistan International

Just the one from me, as its always been an airline thats managed to escape from being caught whenever I’m around.

Every Wednesday we’ll pick a different airline, and photographers will be invited to upload their single best shot of that airline, to create a shared gallery.

So which airline this week? Anyone want to start a new thread?

Good idea, why not some photos from Karachi Pakistan which is home to PIA. All these are pictured on final approach to Karachi International within last few weeks. I believe you don’t get to see most of them in Europe.

Note the different colorful tails that represent cultural diversity. Tail motif represent four provinces and Northern Areas. Aircraft dedicated to a certain province is further dedicated to a city in that province.

A great idea having an airline of the week post.
Here’s my picture of PIA’s Boeing 747-367 AP-BFY lining up for departure on Manchester’s 23L

Alltough I am not a UK spotter where most of the PIA’s come I have some shots from heathrow (on my trip) and one from Schiphol.

Has a 747 transported a dead engine ‘underwing’ recently, or do they all end up within large Antonov products nowadays ? :confused:
