As a graphic designer, I have a lot of fun drawing up airliners with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. There is also a lot of talent in cyberland too. Ive interacted with some really great personalities on the different 1;400 collectors scale forums.
I would love to see other artists talent and interests posted. Please feel free to join in. In the meantime, heres a sample of one of the nicest airliner designs, ever!, the Super VC-10. Enjoy 🙂

RE: Airliner Art: Fantasy Airliners/Airliner schemes
Without a doubt my favorite civillian aircraft. Here’s another one, I removed the canards in anticipation of better flight control software, and gave it redesigned engine nacelles and tailfin.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 24-11-02 AT 08:20 PM (GMT)]Don’t worry, I’m sure you haven’t bored anyone. This sort of topic has gone down a treat in the past, so theres no reason why it shouldn’t do once more. 🙂
And the links are now correct.
The 737-1000, and a 747-800. You never know could be seeing them in the future? Some great designs Herb! 🙂

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 24-11-02 AT 08:15Â PM (GMT)]Hi Andrew,
Thanks for letting me know. If this topic has already gone round and round, I hope I havent bored everyone to tears. L)
Ive been posting airliner art at a couple of forums dedicated to 1:400 collectible models; ie Dragon Wings, Gemini Jets, Aero Classics, etc, so I often submit new existing schemes or possible fantasy schemes.
I am however, just as interested in the real airplanes flying overhead (approaching JFK). Theres nothing like the rush of Concorde on short finals!
Checked your links, but got errors. Ill try the index to see where the posting are. Thanks!
Regards,
Herb

Check it out, there is some good talent when it comes to designing on this forum. (links to past posts, entitled “design your own airline/aircraft”)
