5 pics, 10 points. One for the type, one for the Airline.
Slight change on the rules from the last one – post your replies here, work together, discuss it, and when you’re happy, give me a list of types and operators that everyones happy with, and I’ll score the AFM forum users on their skills! 🙂 I want one list of answers that you all agree on. Sounds easy enough?

Results!
G-ZAPT, Titan Airways Beech B200C Super Kingair
Good start, 2 points to you lot! 🙂

No.2 is a British Airways ERJ-145, G-EMBH. 1 point, you failed to identify the Airline!

No.3 is, quite obvuiosuly an Air 2000 757 (G-OOBA). Too easy! 2 Points.

No.4 is a British Airways (Loganair) Saab 340, G-LGNE. 2 points again.

Finally, we have a Croatian Airbus A319-100 (9A-CTG). No points here – you all guessed at A320!

Seven points from ten, I’m impressed! I’ll make it harder next time!
Oh – hats off to the guy who identified the airport they were shot at aswell! All the pics were from MAN! 🙂

1. Beech 1200, Titan
already discussed and explained really well by “Wannabe pilot”.![]()
2. Embraer 145, BMI
still not sure about the airline, but most people seem to think it is BMI so I will go along.
3. B757, Air 2000 (new livery)
already discussed and, dare I say it, quite easy to recognise![]()
4. Saab 340, British Airways (or franchise)
This one still had some doubt by some of you, hopefully the pic below will clear any doubt.
This plane is definately not a Jetstream because 1) the plane is too large and 2) the planes nose is way too small.
I now think (KNOW) it is a BA. The livery is quite clear once you know what you are looking at. The speedmark can be seen behind the cockpit window. The coral blue line in the pic is the red part of the speedmark. The grey part just underneath is the dark blue part of the speed mark. Of course the same colours go for the tail.
5. Its an airbus alright, AIRLINE???
I am still not convinced it is either Air Malta (where is the cross on the tail, and what is the white spot and while we are at it, where is the cheatline), Swiss (also, where is the cross and what does the white part do there). It probably ain’t Air 2000 either because its colours on the tail are wavy and here the colours ain’t wavy. So, what is it?

Are we all agreed then with more or less what BDP has said?
Cos I wanna know the answers. :D:D:D:D:D

Beech 1200 – Titan
ERJ-145 – BMI
757 – Air 2000 (new c/s)
Jetstream 41 – Eastern
A320 – Air Malta
?????

I have to agree that the 5th one is an A320, look at the tail. Unless it is a 737-200, then the tail on that picture is not from a 737. Note that on 737’s the tail slopes up at a small angle at first, then goes up steeper, whereas on the A320, like on the picture, it is a gradual curve in one direction.

Sorry, but I can just not see it as an A320 at all 🙁
By: adamdowley - 8th October 2003 at 09:20
what about Swiss for the 5th Picture?
By: adamdowley - 8th October 2003 at 09:14
id say No.5 is an A320

Yeah Beech King Air agreed. Darti, I would say that nose is very 737-esque not A320?
By: dartie - 8th October 2003 at 00:06
No. 5 is definitley not a B737, it is an aircraft from the A320 family you can tell by the nose, they are quite different!!!

I’m pretty sure (almost 99%) that this is a Titan Super Kingair. Please forgive me if I’m wrong but if you look at this photo and compare it to the image, note the fron of the plane including half the engines being white.

So to summarise what we have for now:
1a Beech 1900 (Airline?)
1b Beech 200 Super King Air 200, Titan Airways
2a ERJ (Airline?)
2b CRJ (Airline?)
3a Boeing B757-200, Air 2000
4a S.340, (Aurigny?)
5a B737, (Air Malta?)
5b A320, (Airline?)

1. Beech 1900 or King Air
2. CRJ or ERJ, can’t really tell!
3. B757
4. Saab 340 (The cockpit window arrangement tells me this!)
5. I’d say 737 of some kind.
By: tenthije - 7th October 2003 at 18:33
Wannabe pilot, I think you are correct! Its probably a S340, the nose is not long enough. Maybe Aurigny??? Its definately not a Dash 8, as it has a low wing, the 3rd line from below should eb the wing.
By: wannabe pilot - 7th October 2003 at 18:28
Actually, looking at number four from a bit of a distant it looks like a Saab 340, not long enough to be a Saab 2000
By: wannabe pilot - 7th October 2003 at 18:26
Im quite sure that the first one is a Titan Beech200 Super King Air and that the third one is an Air 2000 757 (new livery). Cant even work out the ‘plane’ in the fourth one!
By: Saab 2000 - 7th October 2003 at 18:22
4 looks like a Dash 8 to me. British European?
