Hi all i was talkin with a friend the otherday about airlines that have gone but not forgotten in your own eyes!
Mine personlly is the Cork based airline Jetmagic, I was always a fan since the start, and they brought a certain something into LPL (my local) and made a change from easyJet and Ryanair!! Also being a HUGE fan of the Embraer 145/135.
i was at work the otherday and a BRIGHT purple cart was loaded on with Jetmagic logos on it, looked great!!
I really miss Jetmagic!
Does anyone know whats happened to thier ERJ145s and 135s???

Well, if we’re talking airlines that are still in existence, here’s my laundry list…

I miss the QANTAS of the 90s. The QANTAS of the 00s is absolutely crap, especially long haul and those flight attendants that think they are above you.

Another lost airline…
Anyone else remember Cambrian, one of the early UK regionals, flying Viscounts and 1-11’s IIRC.
Another “independent” lost in the formation of BA 🙁

Anyone remember Caledonians Tristars. If people went on them share your memories. Im sure it was G-BBAE i went on to and from Tenerife in 1999, the middle luggage rack was removed, the plane was very tatty, however seats were quite comfertable and the sounds of the engine was brilliant. Remember the big humming on engine start sitting at the rear.
Yes, I went on -AE too (MAN-FAO) in 1996. Jay cloths in the panelling above passenger’s heads were visible!! Also miss Airworld, not a big airline (summer-only to begin, I think) but the crew were incredibly friendly. It became part of Flying Colours (also good) then JMC then Thomas Cook.

Duo when they were still part of BA, a truly excellent airline, such a pity that customers thought they were a loco in the Easyjet model and didnt give them the support.
They never where a part of BA. Duo was bought out of BA as Maersk UK, to set up what was Duo 🙂

Nice photo, shame about the airline :diablo:
Those of us who loved Sabena will never forgive the Swiss airline.
Sabena – flying together with Swissair, bankrupt together with Swissair.

There are only two sadly missed by any true British airline fan – BEA and BOAC which disappeared on 1st April 1974 when BA was formed.
