Hi there!
I’m new in here and so i want to introduce myself first: normally i don’t have much to do with planes, rather with ww 2 buildings, especially armored ones. you can still find many in my hometown munich, bavaria.
yesterday in a pile of scrap metal (most of it gasmasks, drinking bottles and other ww2 junk) on a construction site i found airplane parts. Please look at the pictures i took. on the green part there is a stamp ‘assembly inspected’ with several numbers, on the yellow some handwriting. (the green one is about half a meter, the yellow 0,8 meter in length.) must therefore have been an american, english, canadian… plane.
I’d be very glad if you could help me lifting the fog and telling me to what kind of plane these parts might have belonged to.

Parts beginning with 22 being Lockheed Lightning according to the list.

well, i forgot to quote the silver artificial leather on the yellow part. remains might be seen on picture #4708, around the screwheads. what cannot be seen on picture are wavy lines on this material…

I agree the parts look American – the first part looks like a strap for an oxygen bottle.

The rivets shown in the third of your pictures has a small dimple in the head, this identifies it a being to an American MS & AN (Military Standard and Army Navy) spec that I associate with post 1960’s but may be earlier.

I must say that the yellowish primer looks very American to me. The same internal primer colour as parts of a P-47 Thunderbolt I own.
More knowledgable people than I will no doubt be along soon 🙂
