Hello,
Just wondering if anyone can help,
2 years ago we went to HUX (Huatulco) in Mexico for a 2 week holiday flying with First Choice,
FCA and TOM dropped the route a year or so ago and since then we wanted to go back but have struggled to fine a route which is within budget.
Does anyone know where i can find out all the destinations HUX airport operates??
A couple of old websites state KLM do from Amsterdam for a cheapest price, but im unable to confirm this route is still live.
If anyone can get a list of all destinations flights operate to from HUX throughout 2010 that would be great.
One route which seems to be available is to fly to LAX or Mexico City and then transfer, the only problem with that is the costs!
thanks
Rick

PM me if you want to know more; I might even be able to find you a cheap-ish fare if you can give me some dates to play with!;)
Thanks for the comments above, Cloud-9 — I will be in touch in the new year – 🙂
Cheers

No, if/when you check-in at LHR, we put special ‘in-transit’ tags on the baggage, so that when the aircraft arrives in IAH, they are taken straight from one aircraft to another.
It only works for passengers travelling from one international country to another, and simply transiting through. If you are travelling anywhere else within the US, you still have to pick up your baggage and pass through customs as normal.;)

Does passing through customs not require you to have your baggage with you?

This is probably the best option because your baggage will get automatically transferred to its final destination…
…you still have to pass through US immigration/customs

IAH, Houston, CO 2832, Continental Airlines, 2:40 PM, ERJ
This is probably the best option because your baggage will get automatically transferred to its final destination, so you would not have to pick it up in IAH, thus saving some time when connecting. That said, you still have to pass through US immigration/customs, which I do not know how long this would take as I have never been through IAH myself, but we usually recommend an hour and a half.

Air Transat appear to fly there as well.
A quick search for random dates on Expedia brought up a Mexicana flight from London Gatwick to Mexico City and then onwards to Huatulco with Click Grupo (whoever they are?). The price was £630 per person.
Thanks for the info above above,
The connection via Mexico City could be one option at that price.
Its a shame FCA stopped doing the route, I wrote to First Choice (when it was that) and asked why the route had been dropped, which was due to flights only been 60 % full..
When we went with FCA the flight was only 50% full… its was great!
