Sorry I have missed te picture for a couple of days.
Its a sad sad sight this picture taken at Mojave in California, the dead line-up of aircraft beeing stored or ready to be scrapped.RIP 747-100 and TriStars.

problem is they would have done so if it was economical – thats why hte planes are there.
also i was reeading about the boneyard (the military version of this place) – it has so many UH-1 Hueys that the helicopter industry would collapse if the us gov sold them off !!!

It seems such a waste to send them to the ‘scrappy’. They could be used by smaller airlines of the world with smaller fleets. It’s not as if they are not working any more. They should be done up and used again. The Tristar is a fantastic aircraft.

They should ‘do them up’ and open them as a hotel, restaurant bar and entertainments complex for us enthusiasts!
