Airports in Florence?

I’m off to Florence in late Feburary for just four days. I’m not familiar with the place at all and am wondering what the airports are like out that way – we were originally meant to be flying to Pisa but this has now been changed to somewhere beginning with a “B”?

Also, from London Heathrow, what airlines fly here?

RE: Airports in Florence?

At £300 for the four days, I’m expecting it to be something a little better than Go! We flew British Airways 737 and A319 in February to gone and I expect if they fly to Bologna, it will be them again.

Interesting stuff about Go though.

RE: Airports in Florence?

Florence has a tiny airport close the city with no regular (or at least just a few) scheduled flights.

It’s a school trip yet they haven’t said who we are flying with. So, it’s obviously going to be British Airways again!

Thanks Saab.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 06-09-02 AT 03:35 PM (GMT)]Bologna, there are frequent fast trains from there to Florance.I know BA fly that route from LHR,maybe AZ as well though I can’t be sure.
You can get direct to Florence from LGW on Meridiana
