Hello All,
Does anybody know what Landing, and/or Taxi, Lights the Airspeed Oxford (as used by the RAF) had in the late WW2, and early post-WW2, periods? I am particularly interested in the Oxfords of the Radar Met Flight based at Defford. These a/c were, inter alia, engaged in investigations pertaining to the Sea Surface Evaporation Duct. This involved flying – at some stages – VERY close to the sea surface. I would be interested in any illumination aids, or radar altimetry, that may have been fitted (specifically on PH480).
TIA

Two Landing Lamps Type H under a perspex screen in the port wing of the Consul. I can’t see the Oxford having anything different?
