Hello All
I was just wondering how many airworthy or close to airworthy Sea Furys there are in the UK? Obviously the RNHF example, but how many more are there?
Also any news on how TFCs example is coming along?
thanks alot
Ross

….which isn’t a Sea Fury, it’s a Fury ISS.
Currently no flying Sea Furies in the UK. But that will change shortly.;)
Thought you might like to see it nestled recently into its present “home” at Baginton.

Sold to Kermit Weeks, stored in Norfolk, sold on again to an owner in Australia and last heard of being restored to fly.

Oh i completely forgot about the RNHFs re build. Do they still have a long way to go with it then?
Does anyone remember at Legends a few years ago seeing 2 sea furys and a bearcat together……that was cool:D
Perhaps Legends 2009 could see a (Sea) Fury 4-ship, with ZU-WOW, VR930, G-RNHF and G-CBEL flying together, or further on than that, a 6-ship with ‘WH588’ and TFC’s machine. 😀

Don’t think there’s any Sea Furies flying in Europe currently – ZU-WOW in France is a ISS Fury I believe.

This leaves John Bradshaws aircraft as the sole currently airworthy representative.

TFCs example will hopefully get attention after the Gladiator is completed and flying, one of if not the most complete Sea Fury anywhere in the world lets hope the finished article is something to savour?:D

RNHF’s VR930 is temporarily grounded awaiting a re-built Centaurus, their new T.20 has yet to fly. This leaves John Bradshaws aircraft as the sole currently airworthy representative.
