With the first post restoration flight yesterday of TE311 at RAF Coningsby, the World’s airworthy list has reached 50 by my definition.
By my definition I include aircraft on winter major maintenance such as AB910 at ARCo and aircraft under active repair following accidental damage, such as MJ772.
Others may have differing definitions. 🙂
This brings the total of Spitfires and Seafires that have flown since 1970, the Battle of Britain film watershed, to 78.
