Akin Shenbanjo 76 Squadron

Wondered if anyone, knows what happened to Akin Shenbanjo, he was a trainee wireless operator at RAF Madley and was air gunner/wireless operator with 76 squadron on Halifaxes, with a Halifax named after him, “Achtung The Black Prince”, according to a Google search. I couldn’t seem to find anymore out though. Did he survive the war and if so what subsequently happened to him? Over to you, and thanks in advance.

Hi Sopwith

According to Africans In Britain by David Killingray he flew 30 Ops, was awarded the DFC in September ’44 and survived the war

Also he apparently studied law at Leeds University on link below

He does not feature on the Commonwealth War Graves Commission website so the assumption is that he survived the war.
