Hi all,
we were contacted last week by a woman who said her late husband had collected aviation related parts for many years, she took us out the the small barn at the rear of the cottage and this is what we found, pictures soon.
2 x Merlin engines
3 DB 601s in fair condition
18 prob blades
6 prop hubs including 2 two blade watts bosses
tons of Hurricane stuff in boxes
what looks like the cockpit of a hornet!!!
A spit fire port wing ( 4 .303 type )
14 Spitfire canopys
8 Hurricane canopys
1 Defiant cockpit area with turret
ME 109 rear fuse with tail
and we are going back today to go through another barn.
Anyone want to come and take a look? Meet at Mountnessing windmill at 12.30 today.

Im,e interested in the old hut, could provide spares for one under restoration in my garden.
I am sorry the hut will join my large collection of Garden Huts. Its a 1910 vintage and I dont have one of these. Its a pity about the 3 Sopwith Camels but I could exchange them for any old huts that fit into my collection. I need one of these old seaside cahnging huts. Any offers?

Cor, sounds like a miniature version of my shed!
I’d join you but it’s not worth travelling the 150 odd miles just to see that lot.
Let’s hope the barn yields something better. Good luck!
