Alan Turing, posthumous apology.

I’m surprised no one thought this news worthy of reporting. Alan Turing one of the greatest Englishmen gets a posthumous apology from the government.

60 or more years too late.
A brilliant man who helped win WW2. Strange really, when you consider Sir Anthony Blunt, who spied for the Russians was let off his crime, including a few others to write their memoirs in luxury. Funny old world we live in.

No doubt whatsoever that he was treated apallingly, and hopefully now he can get some of the recognition he so richly deserves. Funny old world when we treat genuine heroes like this, and yet give knighthoods to others for reading the news on TV. On the other hand I’m a little uneasy with the notion that we think we can re-write history, or undo what previous generations thought was correct.

Ditto.

Does the team think the “Apple” logo is a tribute to his death? Or on we on Mythdom here?
